Getting out and meeting new people face-to-face is essential in growing your business.
Don’t wait until you think you’ve got everything figured out before you join a group. You need to get out and tell people what you’re doing.
When you show up, you are establishing credibility with the other members in the group and more importantly, you’re keeping a promise to yourself. You’re gaining confidence in yourself that you can do this! You can grow your business!
In today’s episode I share when I opened Scrivener Solutions, I knew the very first thing I should do is tell people. I joined a networking group that met weekly and I remained dedicated in attending whether I wanted to or not.
A networking group shouldn’t be solely viewed as only gaining referrals. True, you’ll earn referrals and grow your business when you engage, listen, and grow as an individual.
When you do new things, it’s a scary thing. I had no idea of my exact direction or even a picture of who my ideal client would be when I walked into my first networking meeting. You don’t have to have everything figured out before you start.
I invite you to listen to this week’s podcast to gain insight on my networking beginnings. If you’re not in a networking group, this episode is for you. Challenge yourself to join a group for at least a year. Learn from the process. Learn from the members.
I’d love to hear from you. Email info@scrivenersolutions.com and share what your networking routine is. Don’t have a routine yet? What’s your biggest obstacle in joining a group?
